I since by that time when Iam developing this program, Firebird is still
new to me, I don't know much what charset could do for me, so I just
leave it blank.

What error does it raise? I dont think have any problem regarding that
since I have try changing the charset in my program to. I suggest that
you can also set charset on individual fields also.
