Hi all,
Today I had a very strange problem. Everything was going fine, but
suddenly users notified me that they can't make new connections to
the database. At that time , there were 61 connections active. Does
NPTL problem effect the classic server?
I have a Fedora Core2 (FC2), dual xeon processors server with FB CS
1.5.1 installed on it. The server has 1GB of RAM , each connection
takes about 15mb of RAM. So, I guess, the server has enough
resources. The database size is about 3.5 GB
I have not done the NPTL fixes on the server yet. I'm in the office ,
waiting for people to shutdown.
Thank you very much for your ideas..
