Yes, the case here would be if there happens to be another
application (not one of ours; one that we are unaware of) that the
customer is using that happens to use an earlier version (or earlier
patch, or later alpha patch) of the firebird SS engine. If the same
one is installed, then that's OK since we can just use it.
In essence, I want to play nicely in the sandbox as best as I can,
so this is a realistic scenario, and I'd like to have the best way
possible to handle this situation. However, if there's an older
version on the system (v1.0 for example), our apps may not work well
with it since we may be assuming some 1.5 features and/or fixes.
Therefore the question as to the co-existence of different versions
of Firebird.

installshield already and this will be helpful.
