I would not continue with the installation. Use the msi installers
http://www.mwasoftware.co.uk/firebird/download.htm, firebird is not
installed once you have it already installed. The install shield takes
care of it.

Helen, I guess what greg meant is multiple application databases within
a machine with one server instance ?? Is that correctly understood.
