Hi all,

I have 3 years experience with Interbase 6 + Delphi 6 applications. In
IB6.02 I had a problem changing metadata. After 255 changes, the server gave
me a "Too many versions" error, not allowing me to insert more records. Not
documented ... A problem for me ...

So I gave a try to Firebird. Very good ... Congratulations !

1. I had the 255 counter fixed. Super.
2. I had some problems with ambigous field queries, but since fixed almost
all my queries.
3. Firebird impoved in stability and in performance compared to IB6.02 .
4. Integration with Delphi is as good as with Interbase. Everything (stored
procedures, queries, updates, etc) is the same.
5. I use the Linux and the Windows versions ...
6. AND IS FREE !!!
