We have been using Firebird on Win2003 Terminal Server since February
2004. We have had no major issues with it. About the only abnormality
is that the control panel applet thinks it is not running.
I think a lot of the trouble people are having with it (including the
problem I have just mentioned) probably has a lot to do with ntfs
security. We have denied our users access to a lot of items,
including explorer, taskmgr, cmd, mmc, etc etc. We have also denied
access to the C drive, and only allowed access to particular items as
required. So it would not surprise me if I have accidentally denied
the control panel applet access to a file it needs to know about.
