Not on WinXP and WinME, which treats *.gdb as system files
and includes them in the system restore routine. That way, connecting
the DB is toooooooo slow and some other trouble.
So, when using that systems, extensions must be other than
*.gdb (I don't remember if it affects Win2k too)
