i've created a transportable backup on a windows xp pro sp1 machine
and i've taken it to a windows xp pro sp2 machine. I'm using firebird
1.0.3.
I'm unable to restore the file and i get these errors:
gds__alloc: memory pool corrupted
internal gds software consistency check (invalid block type
encountered (147))
gds__free: attempt to release bad block
internal gds software consistency check (invalid pool id encountered
(153))
i also had a crash during restore.
i also had an heavy database corruption on the same machine.
the machine was freshly installed before corruption. i reinstalled
everything and retried the database installation with the above results...
could it be an hardware (memory?) problem?
thanks
