Do you mean "my database that is located on the server"?

Are you trying to connect from a remote client machine or as a local client?

There's not much anyone can suggest until you provide some details of what
you are actually trying to do.

What OS platform is the Firebird server installed on? If it's Windows,
which version of Windows?

What is the network name of the host server?

What is the full path and name of the database file you are trying to
connect to?

Have you downloaded and studied the Quick Start Guide from the Firebird
website? http://firebird.sourceforge.net
