No. In the /opt/firebird/bin directory there is a shell script named fbmgr
which calls fbmgr.bin. In my installation, it got there during the RPM
installation process. First step is to determine why you apparently don't
have this script on board.

My installation from the RPM file didn't exhibit this behaviour. If you
think there's a problem that needs looking at, do the following (quickly,
please, since v.1.5.2 is in QA right now, very soon to be pre-released for
testing):

Rewrite this message, describing what KIT you installed, what distro and
version of Linux you installed it on, how you went about installing it, and
what you think is wrong.

Then post your message to firebird-devel.
