Hi, is it possible to divide the database files by content?

I mean to put some tables in one file and other tables in other file?
Helens book explain only splitting them by filesize, which I take is
the only option (the book covers basicly anything that is to say
about the FB) - will it be implemented at some point? I checked the
roadmap, it's not there.
