Dear Helen, Claus and Martijn,

you're right.

After changing from mysql isql to firbird isql and path everything is
working.

No! it's the wrong one.
]$ cd /opt/firebird/bin
bin]$ ./isql /path/to/your/database -user SYSDBA -password iCRYy4mE

or, if you prefer
]$ /opt/firebird/bin/isql /path/to/your/database -user SYSDBA -password
iCRYy4mE
