Hello all,
I have a Firebird database with about 1.4 Gb, running on Windows 2000
Professional with Firebird 1.5 RC7. The database has 83 tables.
The server hardware is a Pentium 4 1.7Mhz, 256 Mb Ram
What I would like to know is what are the optimal values for the Buffer
size, Page buffers and Page size of the database.
The values I use are
BufferSize = 32000
Page buffers = 10000
Page Size = 4096
And what is the optimal configuration for a Pentium 4 with HP, or a
Xeon? Does CpuAffinityMask = 1 on the conf file work with these CPUs or
do I have to disable HP on bios, or use Classic Server?
Thanks in advance for any help,
