Your anti-virus could corrupt the database, if it is "looking" inside when
the database is open.

First thing you should look when detecting the cause will be your firebird
log message.

For trying to know what did happen, you should provide us more info. What OS
are you running Firebird? Did the server crash? Did you use ForceWrites?
