Could anyone help me with the following;

I am running Redhat 9, Firebird 1.5, Apache2 and PHP 4.3.3

When installing the Interbase extension, I receive the following
error message,

ext/interbase/interbase.lo: file is not recognised: File truncated


Having looked through past posts in this newsgroup and around the
web, I am unfortunately still receiving the same error message after
trying some alternatives.
