File this is certainly true in FB1, there is something
like that FB1.5

If you configure Firebird to only allow database
access by aliases, which is a very sensible option
in my opinion, you can scan the list of aliases in
aliases.conf

Perhaps not that much useful for the original poster,
as a universal cannot assume this setup, but
better than nothing.
