Rick, see the other answer I just posted minutes ago as a reply to
Riaan Nagel in the thread "Firebird 1.5 server setup". Should help
you.

By the way, when specifying the path where firebird is installed,
please do NOT end your path with a '\' (backslash). It would open up a
whole range of problems with the current version of instsvc.exe.
