On further digging, I think that build 796 was release 1.0.1, the one that
IB Phoenix built to revert a syntax fix that broke older versions of IB
Objects.

The same advice holds true about the client - if you are getting unexpected
connection behaviour, check to ensure that you aren't using a mismatched
client library.
