Hello all,

I'm running FirebirdSS-1.0.2.908-0 on Linux 2.4 system. This morning I
needed to stop the server for some maintenance and upon start the
/opt/interbase/interbase.log got this following messages 30 times:

intrbase (Server) Thu Jul 24 08:07:01 2003
SERVER/process_packet: connection rejected for root

and, 'netstat -t|grep gds' shows about 30 connection like these:

TIME_WAIT
tcp 0 0 localhost.dct.UUC:33901 localhost.dct.UU:gds_db
TIME_WAIT

tcp 0 0 localhost.dct.UU:gds_db localhost.dct.UUC:33915
TIME_WAIT

What could it mean and are these messages related to this other problem?

also in the interbase.log file which still hasn't been solved.
