Someone please enlighten me as to the reason Firebird is built with
Microsoft's compiler under Win32. Surely a free compiler would be
more sensible for an open source project?
Is there something wrong with Borland's free command-line compiler
(bcc32) ??
I understand that debugging FB is considered easier in VC than CPP
Builder (which uses bcc32), but surely build scripts for bcc32 would
be appreciated by the open-source community? I know I'd really
appreciate it...
