Rename your (.gdb) files to something else, most use (.fdb).

Hi,

One of my clients bought a new PC with win XP. Only that
PC is taking lot of time to open a .gdb FB database. Other
old PCs with w9x are opening same .gdb much quicker.
we tried with different sizes of .gdb as .gdb size increases
the time taken is higher. When searched archives of this
list there are mentions about this problem and solution
suggested is to stop autobackups for .gdb files.

Can somebody can tell us how to stop autobackups
for .gdbs on Win XP ?
