I recently downloaded and installed Firebird-1.0.3.972-Win32 on two Win9x
machines (Win95 retail, Win98). When I try to open the Firebird Server
Manager control panel applet on these machines, I get an apparently endless
series of error-message windows that popup up automatically, bringing
Windows to its knees in due course. The error messages are identical in all
these windows. The error window caption is "Error Code 120 raised in
OpenServiceManager"; the error window text, "This function is only valid in
win32 mode". Has anyone else encountered this?
