Hi
I tried the password using IBExpert and the 'Test Connection' button
produced the following results:
* Attempting to connect to:
* jberry:C:\Db\TEST.GDB
*
* Connecting... Passed!
* Server version: WI-T1.5.0.3233 Firebird 1.5 Release Candidate 1
*
* Attempting to connect to services manager... Failed!
* ------------------------------------
*
* Unsuccessful execution caused by a system error that precludes
* successful execution of subsequent statements.
* Your user name and password are not defined. Ask your database
administrator to set up a Firebird login.
*
* Disconnecting from database... Passed!
So I can connect to the database, but not to the service manager.
This is the only password I can reproduce this error with. All other
passwords seem to be Ok.
I currently have Firebird 1.5 RC 3 installed.
IBConsole and IBOConsole must try to connect to the service manager when you
first login. Thats why I can not login using them with this password. All
other passwords seem ok.
But, as far as I know, neither IBConsle, now IBOConsole can connect
to FB 1.5 ...try IB Expert You can download a free Personal
version. ...takes a bit of getting used to, you will never look back!
