I've used nothing else since 0.94 came out - in production -
24/7 no problems ( unlike IB6! )

ODS has not changed as yet, and backup/restore works quite
happily between IB6 and FB1 ( and 1.5? )

Where did you hear that? Not one I remember :)

Personally, I think THAT is part of the problem. Use the
latest GDS32 for the version of server. Having said that,
I'm accessing 1.0 and 1.5 both ways via both FB gds32's and
not seeing any problem - unless I am just lucky.
