Just use you packaging method's un-install features

rpm -e firebird-xxx.rpm (Linuxes using rpm)

pkg_delete firebird-xxx (FreeBSD)

The rpm -e should remove start-up scripts, and entries in /etc/services,
unless you have changed the entries, and they no longer match what the
script put there in the first place(md5 mismatch)

Subject: [ib-support] Classic server verses Superserver

Hi

If I have installed a version 1 of firebird as Classic server, can I
then uninstall that, and afterwards install the SuperServer ?

And Vice Versa ?

Michael
