Thanks for the info. this also brings me to another point. the database
that is going to be accessed will only be available on the local lan. what
is the recommended way of connecting to the database file on the server
(eg. mapped drive directly to the db location or is there another better
way?) at the moment im doing some major work in my app to convert it to use
the interbase db. are there any other factors that i might need to consider
when im installing the client?
