I hope that this question is designed for appropriate group (or I should
post it to firebird-devel ? )

I'd like to know something about validate database API . Is this return any
information ? I tried an example validation on good database (not corrupted)
and nothing is returned via isc_service_query.
I remember that IBConsole has a validation method which return if database
is corrupted but I don't remember if that was an detailed information or
not.
