on workstations, use the path:
for fb 1.0
WINSERVER:\c:\fb\data\mydb.fdb

for fb1.5
WINSERVER:mydb

for fb1.5 also edit aliases.conf (on server c:\fb) and put
mydb=c:\fb\data\mydb.fdb

clients does not access the database file.
so, you don't need to share the folder c:\fb\data.
