our client is running win NT. they are running firebird on the same
server as microsoft proxy server and an email/internet dial up
connection.

whenever their server dials up/disconnects from the internet using
dial up networking the firebird service effectively crashes meaning
we have to keep restarting the service and rebooting the machine.

has anyone else experienced this problem? can anyone offer a
solution please?
