No doubt! Unfortunately, with a tight schedule looming and with
mountains of code yet to be written, I can't really afford to use
software that requires me to do the ports, even if it is great and free.
It isn't my goal to pressure volunteers, I just wanted to know what the
plans are so I myself could plan accordingly.

There are *no* plans to discontinue support for the Solaris port
-- in
fact some work has been done to integrate the port into the
automake
build process.

Having said that, however, I should point out that support for
the port
is entirely dependent on the contributions of volunteers.
