Can you connect to the Win2k server at all?
With WinNT4 I had an occasional problem that denied any remote connection
to the server (IB ran fine, as we could run programs locally). Booting was
the only remedy - I hope this problem doesn't happen on Win2k!
Also, the NIC may have failed.
Or, some other point in the network (the hub?). Just today we had a port
on a switch that seems to have gone AWOL.
Anyway, booting a Windows machine sometimes fixes the strangest problems ...
