It's like
MS SQLs stored procedures can be outside transaction control, so must be
better than FB/IB stored procedures which have to be under transaction
control.
All having DDL statements in PSQL does is lead to sloppy development.
It does not mean that FB/IB are unprofessional, it means that proper design
is needed to avoid these issues.

particular way of thinking, you are telling us that Firebird isn't
professional?
Read the docs, ask questions - and we can help. Don't complain about
things that cannot be done - or you haven't asked anything about. Let's
be a little more constructive than that - and you will see that Firebird
is a VERY professional database engine.
