Ok, I am sorry for my confusion. But I have a JSP application accessing
a Firebird database via a JDBC driver. I do not want to write code to
modify a database; therefore,if I want to manually modify the database I
need something like IBConsole. I assumed that IBConsole worked via
JDBC, but I guess that is not the case given your answers. I guess the
best mix of open source software in my situation would be Firebird for
the database, Jaybird for the JDBC driver and IBConsole for tweaking the
database.
