Somewhere in the Performance Options (see System Applet) you may get better
performance by setting to optimise for background services. This only
applies where the machine is not being used as a desktop PC simultaneously.

Are there any features that XP Pro lacks which Win 2K
Server or NT Server has that would affect Firebird
directly?
