I just verified that there are indeed big problems with the 1.0.1 Installer for Mac OS X.

Looking into the package, both postinstall and postupgrade have a broken line 130. The result is that /etc/inetd.conf is overwritten with an empty file. Sadly, the script doesn't make a backup of the original before modifying it, which strikes me as being quite reckless.

Further, re-running the installer totally fails. It wipes out /Library/Frameworks/Firebird.framework, but then fails to extract anything there. The installer log shows many many errors. (See below.)

Are there any plans for a new installer package for FB 1.0.2 ?

I'm going to try the Darwin installer, maybe that will work.
