I don't think the gds32.dll that comes with IB7 can connect to IB5.x
or IB 6.x. IBX simply gets the version of the gds32.dll that it's
going to use and makes sure that it only uses the functionality that
is available for the version being used. The problem with FB 1.5 and
FB 2, is that new functions might become available via the interface
of fbclient.dll(more so with FB 2 than FB 1.5). If that new gds32.dll
that simply redirects calls to the new fbclient.dll still exists with
FB 2, then don't expect that those new functions would be available in
IBX.
