Subject RE: [ib-support] Re: Firebird hangs very often
Author Wilson, Fred
I assume this is from the Interbase.log file on the Firebird server. Check
to see if there are any entries in the Interbase.log files on the individual
client PC's.
Anyway, the 10054 is a network error. It means that a client shutdown,
without properly closing the connection, that is the client, unexpectedly,
went away.
This can be caused by a lot of things.
- Someone turning off a client PC without shutting the client program down
first.
- A poorly written client program, that doesn't dis-connect any open
Firebird connections first, when shutting down.
etc.

INET/inet_error: read errno = 10054
I don't know why this error happens.
