I don't know IB 5.6, but you use IB Surgeon for exploring the range of
damage.
and there is my recommendation:

1) turn off IB server and copy gdb file to safa place
2) start IB server and explore damage (what is missing)
3) try extract meta data and data
4) create new DB and fill it with extracted data
