I think compatible is not the right phrase here, you can convert a ODS 9.1 Database to a ODS 10
database via Backup/Restore. The FB server refuses to read your old database file without the
conversion.

Never tried, but I don't think so.
But if you cannot get the converted DB to work, then you don't have the need to convert it back
again to 9.1. You still have first the original file and the backup of that file.
