I am a long time dBASE user and have just started trying out Interbase
open source. I've quickle decided that the open source of Interbase is
a dead end, hence my presence here.

So far I have installed the latest version of Firebird available for
download. I am not even sure I've installed it correctly or that it is
even working.

Are there any experienced hands here that are willing to help a
beginner or should I just go away quietly?
