Subject DATABASE_CACHE_PAGES logic & use?
Author hugh_borst
Hi all;

We use FireBird 1.0.3 on RH 9 Linux (SS) and Windows 2k and have
questions about the database cache and exactly how its used and what
it is used for.

We have an oft-used query (customer search) that is much faster for
subsequent calls compared to the initial call. Is there any
documentation on what gets stored in the cache (e.g., actual query
results, useful pages, ???), how long it might be expected to stay
there and whether we can do anything to keep this query alive in the
cache.

Thanks much in advance for any info or suggestions.
