I had this problem 1 or 2 years ago. At that time, i had 5 or 6 RH
servers using the same configuration, all without firewalls, and one
of the servers was raising this error.
Nobody could help me, and my only solution was to stop working with
events.
After that, i saw some posts talking about this issue, and if im not
mistaked, it is something related to the name resolution (DNS). Try
to write an entry in the 'hosts' file with your machine real name
pointing to its address, or add the 'localhost' entry if it´s not
there, or try to tweak your dns server configuration. I am almost
sure it is the path to solve your problem.
