Daniel,

I downed load the update dll program from the microsoft web site your
suggested, but the program failed to replace the MSVCRT.dll.

Any other suggestion would be grateful.

I have noticed the later version of MSVCRT.dll in Program
Files\Firebird\Firebird 1.5\bin. Shouldn't the ibserver.exe use the

dlls instead the dlls in c:\winnt\system32?

It's a wrong version of MSVCRT.dll.
