By the way, the install script does not seem to work properly on
debian. Many files were created without even 'read' permission, some
links are not correctly updated (if already existing).

Fortunately, installing firebird "by hand" is very easy, I could
repair the damaged installation in a few minutes.

Anyway, the install script just don't work for debian.
