I translate below a message from a spanish fb newsgroup, by Vicente
Santamaria Vazquez. He was getting trouble accessing udfs in a Linux box
with FB 1.5 RC6/7:

I have seen many messages in firebird-devel talking about problems accessing
udfs, but it is not clear to me if the server is appending '.so' or '.dll'
to library's name. If so, i think it should be explained in release notes.
If not, then anybody has a clue of what is happening?
