Hi,
I'm doing some testing with the fb embedded version. I use IBX with Delphi 5.
As the readme file said, I renamed the fbembed.dll to gds32.dll and put it in my application directory.
Almost everything is running fine, except by restore from backup.
What happens is that, while restoring, my application raised some exceptions because i donĀ“t have a fbclient.dll.
So, I renamed the fbembed.dll to fbclient.dll. And got the gds32.dll that came with firebird "normal installation". Then everything is running fine now.
What happened? Why while restoring my applicattion was looking for the fbclient.dll?
And what problems i could get with this weird workaround i've did?
TIA
