Hi,

I'm playing around with the page buffers size, and am a little puzzled over
the memory usage I see.

I am stressing the database as hard as I can with JMeter, and see the
following:

Page Buffer Memory Usage VM Size
2048 (8 MB) 9 - 11 MB 14 MB
10000 (39 MB) 11 - 12.5 MB 47 MB
20000 (78 MB) 13 - 15 MB 89 MB

Is this normal?

I would have expected to see the memory usage far higher for the increased
page size. I do see some increase in performance, but not a great deal.

I have loads of RAM, and would like to use it to improve performance even
more. Is there anything else I can do?
