Hi
I am having some bad performance problems on customer sites (IB5.6) which I think may be related to OAT problems (which I dont understand). Heres part of the Database Stats from a minor database
Page size 4096
ODS version 9.1
Oldest transaction 116
Oldest active 953
Oldest snapshot 953
Next transaction 970
Bumped transaction 1
Does this mean the OAT is 'stuck' at 116 and should be something like 952 (assuming no intentional long running transactions)?
Does it mean that Garbage Collection is being held up and/or server resources are being accumulated?
Sometimes the 'Oldest snapshot' is a much lower figure than the 'Oldest active' what is the 'Oldest snapshot' and what is the significance of it being much lower?
Is there a written explanation of this stuff?
Regards
Paul
