Hello all,
I would like to read some location specific data from the environment of
the linux server we're running a firebird database on. Specifically, a
store number which for reasons of data redundancy we're trying not to
duplicate by putting into the database proper.
So, is there a way I can read an environment variable into a stored
procedure variable or even capture the output of a "shell echo
$STORE_NUMBER" for example.
regards,
mattc
