Well, the alias points to the primary data file - so you need to create
a data file. You can do this by creating a backup of your current
database, and restoring it on your Linux machine - in the right path
of course :-)

Create a "Transportable" backup - the default. Transfer the backup
file to your Linux machine. Do a "restore".

I don't think restore will use aliasses, only "connect".
